KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF NOVEMBER 25, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up all of our pillars to you this week and particularly those who are preparing to lead and participate in them this coming January. Gently remind us how our every day ordinary lives are a pleasing sacrifice to You when we focus on Your glory alone. Help us teach and encourage one another to be faithful ministers of the gospel. Enable us to be mindful of everyone we meet this week as we speak Truth into their lives through our actions, words, and prayer.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Metanoia – Zacchaeus ~ Luke 19
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the faithfulness of God is trusted…Lord, when we look back on our life, we often remember the pain in it, but we also see highlighted glimpses of Your faithfulness throughout. Your faithful love pierces through our pain, fills us up, and never leaves or forsakes us. Your faithful love is steadfast, present, and continuous. Therefore, we thank You, God, in all things – may the words that come out of our mouths be praise – because in the best seasons of life, Your faithful love has been present in obvious ways, and in the lowest seasons of life, Your faithful love is what has sustained us.
May our lips glorify You for who You have always been, and may our prayers speak to the testimony of a thousand miracles that we have witnessed and received. Your faithfulness has never and will never be a result of how bad or good our life is going, how bad or good we are being, or how bad or good the world is functioning. No, Your faithfulness is rooted in Your love. And because that is true, we can trust Your faithfulness even when our lives are hard.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me worship you with an undistracted heart. You know how my mind wanders to my upcoming week, present worries, and thoughts of others and other things. Help me throw those worries aside and focus on You and Your glory alone. May Your Spirit cause my heart, soul, mind, and strength to exalt Your Holy Name in my words, my thoughts, and my interactions with others.
STUDENTS: Heavenly Father, may the Holy Spirit set a fire in the hearts of our students and adult leaders this coming year! Fill them with a sense of purpose and adventure. Guide, protect, sanctify, and unite them so that a whole new generation of youth may rise up in Jesus’ name…all for Your glory.
SCRIPTURE: 1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
CARE: Father, thank You for the challenging people You’ve placed in my life. As I interact with them this week, I ask that You equip me with the same mindset that Jesus displayed when He dealt with difficult individuals. He knew when to rebuke (John 8:47), when to remain silent (John 8:6), when to ask questions (Mark 11:28–29), when to point others to Scripture (Mark 10:2–3), and when to connect with them through stories (Luke 7:40–42).
Lord, help me to recognize and guard against my own pride as I seek to walk in faith according to Your will. Paul reminds us in Romans 12:3, “For by the grace given me, I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.”
So, as I encounter difficult people this week, please remind me to approach each situation with humility and grace, reflecting Your heart of meekness and patience.
