KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF OCTOBER 21
, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up the spiritual temperature of Four Mile Church. Make us bold, for Your Name’s sake. Refine us so that we burn hot for You. Give us singleness of heart and mind so that we always fear You and honor Your ways far above our own. Open our minds to understand the wisdom that is found in Your Word so that our hearts burn within us to the point of conviction, repentance, and action.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 24 ~ Whom Do You Serve

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…intimacy with Jesus is treasured…the Savior of the world, humbly submitted, fully surrendered – for those who would reject and scorn Him. Jesus, thank You for Your sacrifice and the promised hope of salvation for all of those who put their faith in You. Remind us what a blessing it is to be called Your sons and daughters. Open blind eyes this week so that those who are walking in darkness may see and experience true intimacy with the One who made and knows them by name. Thank You for continually walking us through this life.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, may our love greatly adorn the gospel. Father, Your Son said that the love we have for our brothers and sisters will proclaim to the world that we are Your disciples (John 13:34–35). Please deepen our love for one another and make us eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit (Ephesians 4:1-3). Help us care for all, not showing favoritism.
May love compel us to strengthen the weak, bind up the injured, and serve patiently as we remember our service to others is service to You (Matthew 25:31–46). Help us model Your unfathomable love for us in our honoring of one another, and so prove to the watching world that Christ has risen and reigns.

STUDENTS: Father, help our students to grow in faith and trust. Help them to understand what it means to walk by faith, not by the sight of all the crazy things that are going on around them. We know they will grow in faith by hearing Your Word, and so we pray for opportunities to share Your Word with them whenever the chance arises.

SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight…” Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

CARE: “Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you’re not saved yourself, be sure of that!” -Spurgeon

Let us fervently pray for those who have yet to encounter Christ or who persistently oppose His ways. In a world constantly enticing us towards sin, we must recognize the urgency for those living outside of Christ’s grace.

May our prayers for them be fervent, seeking the opening of their eyes to the Truth, and may God grant us the strength and courage to act upon His will, speaking and doing what He asks of us in reaching out to those in need of salvation.
