KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up those whom You have called to speak and teach at FMC. May they admonish and teach with wisdom. Reveal the mysteries of Your Word to them and encourage them to speak those mysteries courageously and fearlessly – backed by a spirit of faith that springs from their relationship with You.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 5-8 ~ Let’s Go: Joshua Exhortation
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…freedom and forgiveness overwhelm…forgive us Lord for the things we have done. We are selfish, prideful, haughty, dismissive, and arrogant human beings – and yet You love us and sent Your One and Only Son to die in our place – thereby adopting those who believe in His holy name as Your sons and daughters – making us heirs to Your Kingdom. May this knowledge bring us utterly to our knees this week. Remind us of the eternal freedom and forgiveness that You have given us through Jesus Christ, Your Son.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, equip us for our mission on this earth. We know that we are not saved by our good works, but for good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). Focus our hearts on the mission You have for us – to share the gospel and make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ in the Tri-state region and beyond. Remind us how our marriages, family lives, work, and hobbies can be avenues to adorn the gospel through our proclamation and Christ-exalting lifestyles. Use our time as your gathered body to build us up and send us out for ministry, in the power of Your Spirit, to this sin-filled broken world.
STUDENTS: Father, we trust in Your ability to work through our students, knowing that even small acts of faithfulness can have a profound impact. Bless them with opportunities to be ambassadors of Your Kingdom, shining brightly in their communities.
SCRIPTURE: Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
CARE: Father, use us as instruments of Your care and compassion, and let our actions bring glory to Your name. We trust in Your provision and Your ability to work through us to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
