KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF AUGUST 5, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, this week, we lift up the children at FMC. May they always remind us of the childlike faith that You desire each of us to possess. May their actions this week shine the light of Jesus as they encourage and encounter family and friends. Teach them to declare Your marvelous deeds. Make them truthfully and honestly BRAVE – for Your glory alone.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 5 ~ HOLY GROUND
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…repentance and gratitude flow…
Gracious and Loving God, You are constantly moving in my life and I want to respond accordingly. Open my eyes to see every aspect of my life through the lens of faith so that I come before You with a humble and repentant heart, seeking Your forgiveness and grace. Help me to see where I have gone astray and grant me the strength to turn away from those wrongs.
Thank You for creating in me the desire for a pure heart. Renew a right spirit within me, Lord. Let Your love and grace transform me from the inside – out so that I can’t help but give You praise.
Thank You for Your endless patience and unfailing love. I trust in Your promise of redemption and hope.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and a deep longing for unity within Your body, the Church. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and the bond that unites us as brothers and sisters in Him.
We ask for Your help in breaking down the barriers that divide us. Whether they are denominational, cultural, or personal differences, may they be overshadowed by the love and grace we share through Christ. Teach us to see one another as You see us—worthy of love, respect, and understanding.
STUDENTS: Lord – we lift up our students to You as they prepare to go back to school. We ask for Your guidance and strength that they may be shining lights in their schools, reflecting Your love and grace in all their interactions.
Empower them to be a positive influence to their peers, especially those who may not yet know You. May their actions and words be a testament to the love, compassion, and truth that come from a relationship with You.
SCRIPTURE: Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
CARE: Lord, we ask for Your guidance as we seek to care for and support those who are struggling. Open our eyes to the needs around us and give us the wisdom to respond with generosity and kindness. Help us to be sensitive to the needs of others, whether they are physical, emotional, or spiritual.
Grant us the courage to step out of our comfort zones and offer assistance where it is needed most. Empower us to be a source of hope and comfort to those who are hurting, lonely, or in distress. Let our actions reflect Your love and grace, and may our words bring encouragement and healing.
