KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 8, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up our need for protection. Protect and deliver us from the evil one. Help us be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves as we deal with the wolves around us. Show us how to test every spirit to see if they are from You. Help us recognize the enemy’s disguises and schemes so that he won’t outwit us.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Romans 12:1-2 ~ Let’s Go! Pillar Testimonies
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the wrath of God is feared…
In awe and reverence, we come before You, Lord – acknowledging Your holiness and majesty. We know that Your justice is perfect and true…yet, in our frailty, we tremble at the thought of facing Your righteous anger and feeling the weight our sins.
Thank You, Lord, for the immeasurable love that compelled Your One and Only Son to bear the full weight of our sins upon the cross. In His sacrifice, we see the manifestation of Your mercy and grace, pouring out redemption and forgiveness upon undeserving souls like ours.
May Your Spirit continually remind us of the price that was paid for our redemption, that we may walk in gratitude and obedience all the days of our lives.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me worship You with an undistracted heart. My mind often wanders to the upcoming week, my present worries, thoughts, and desires – please encourage me to continually throw those things at Your feet and focus on You and Your glory alone. As I take these next 10 seconds to close my eyes and take a deep breath – open my eyes to see Your presence around me and Your glory on display in Your creation. May Your Name be exalted in my words, my thoughts, and my interactions forever and ever. Amen!
STUDENTS: Companionship of Christ – Father, we pray that our students would experience Your presence and friendship in a new and comforting way. We know that You promise to always be with us and we pray that our students would cling to Your nearness as well. We pray that they might know the sweetness of fellowship with You and rest in the assurance that You will never leave them or forsake them.
SCRIPTURE: Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
CARE: Father, as we navigate the twists and turns of each day, help me to pause and see beyond my own needs and to recognize the struggles and pains of those around me. Grant me the insight to understand the silent cries for help, whether they come from a friend, a neighbor, or a stranger passing by. Give me the patience to listen, really listen, to the stories and worries shared with me, and please give me wisdom to offer comfort and support. Help me extend a nurturing hand to those who are hurting, and be a beacon of kindness in a world that can often feel harsh and unforgiving. Please bless me with the strength to be a source of light and love in a world that so desperately needs it.
