KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 12, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up the speakers and teachers in our church. May they admonish and teach with wisdom and joy. Reveal the mysteries of Your Word to them and encourage them to speak those mysteries courageously and fearlessly. May they speak with a spirit of faith that springs from their relationship with You.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:1-9

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…humility abounds…Lord, when we come to You in prayer – we humbly come as wretched sinners. We are nothing but paupers and beggars who come to You with nothing to offer but our sin and our need for salvation. We recognize our lack of merit and our complete inability to save ourselves…help us recognize that every day so that we may constantly “die to self” so that we can live as new creations through the death of Your Son (2 Corinthians 5:17). You exchanged our worthlessness for infinite worth, and our sin for righteousness. The life we now live, we live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us (Galatians 2:20). THAT is true humility.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, deepen our longing for Christ’s return. So often we pursue comfort and earthly joy in this sin-bent world when our hearts should long for the return of Christ. Humbly draw us into Your holy presence and show us the glories of a sin-and suffering-free eternity where we will worship you face-to-face Lord. We long for Your presence and perfect restoration!

STUDENTS: Health (mental, emotional) Jesus, please help our students rest in You, knowing that You have overcome this world. When the cares of their hearts are many, may Your consolation cheer their souls, and fill them with power, love, and self-control – which we all desperately need. When they pass through deep waters and endure fiery trials, we pray they will feel Your presence with them as steady and sure as the breath in their lungs.

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 94:19 When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.” 2 Timothy 1:7 “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

CARE: God Almighty – Your throne rightfully sits high above the dirt and decay of the world You made, and yet – You choose to live among us, dwelling in our hearts and minds, acting through our fingers, toes, and voices. Your people are continually lost in the wilderness and we humbly fall face down before You now – asking You to once again heal our brokenness and lead us back to the promised land. Your Spirit has clothed us in garments that do not decay, so we ask that You would bring warmth and peace to those who desperately need Your physical touch today. In Your Son’s blessed name – we ask all these things. Amen.
