KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 8, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, this week, we lift up the children who attend FMC. May they always remind us of the childlike faith that You desire each of us to possess. May their actions this week shine the light of Jesus as they encourage and encounter family and friends. Teach them to declare Your marvelous deeds. May they flee evil desires and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace all their days.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:1-4
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond… the faithfulness of God is trusted…God you have ALWAYS proven yourself to be faithful, from the beginning of time Your faithfulness has been on display. Thank you for giving us Your Word as proof of Your faithfulness in the culmination of Your Son’s sacrifice. May Your faithfulness continue to be exclaimed and trusted through to all generations.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, lead me in building others up with the gifts and opportunities you have given me. Forgive me for having a “me first” mentality at church. Help me put others first and seek to use the spiritual gifts you have graciously entrusted to me to build up others. Guide me in my interactions so others are blessed and You are glorified. Show me who to talk to, where to sit, and how to encourage others with Scripture. Help me be a channel of encouragement as we see the Day drawing near.
STUDENTS: Growth in Character and Hope
Father, we pray that our time here each day will teach our students what it means to rejoice in sufferings. We pray that You would make them resilient and persistent, more like Christ with every passing hardship, developing their character and leading them to hope in You alone.
SCRIPTURE: Romans 5:3-5 “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
