KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 23, 2023
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up those who struggle with intentional sin. May their eyes be opened to see the enemy’s scheme of condemnation. Help us to see our own sin the same way that You do and immediately turn from the desires of our flesh. Thank You that sin was done away with on the cross and that we are no longer slaves to it. Help us to throw off everything that entangles and hinders so that we may run our race with perseverance, strength, and joy in Your presence with us.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 5:26-27
FMC VISION: To Reach the Tri-State Region + Beyond for God’s Kingdom by making fully devoted followers of Jesus. Pray that everything we do would be done to accomplish this! Pray that we would be willing to lay aside anything that hinders us in accomplishing this vision. Pray for the faith to follow the Spirit’s lead, keeping in step with Him each day, personally and corporately.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me to treasure Your bride as You do. Father, may we see the centrality of the church in Your eternal purposes for this world. From men and women who were Your enemies, You are assembling a community of born-again worshipers from every tribe, tongue, and nation to proclaim Your matchless wisdom to the world and spiritual realm. All of history will culminate in your Son’s wedding to his beautiful bride. Oh, Lord, help me treasure Your bride as You do and pour myself out to build her up.
STUDENTS: Father, we pray that our students would experience your presence and friendship in a new and comforting way. We know that you promise to always be with us and we pray that our students would cling to your nearness as well. We pray that they might know the sweetness of fellowship with you and rest in the assurance that you will never leave them or forsake them.
SCRIPTURE:Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
