KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 28, 2023

FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up the spiritual temperature of our church. Revive us! Refine us so that we burn hot for You. Give us singleness of heart and mind so that we always fear You and honor Your ways far above our own. Open our minds to understand the wisdom that is found in Your Word so that our hearts burn within us to the point of conviction, repentance, and action.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 5:3-6

FMC VALUE: Value 3 – Stretch it out: We want our team to be agile and athletic, quickly and effectively responding to the unexpected and spontaneous. In fact, we want to move beyond being OK with change and eventually be able to leverage change as a tool that helps us accomplish our mission. Along with this speed and flexibility, it’s important for us to embrace candid feedback and evaluation so we can be even more effective the next time around.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, may our love greatly adorn the gospel.
Father, Your Son said that the love we have for our brothers and sisters will proclaim to the world that we are Your disciples (John 13:34–35). Please deepen our love for one another and make us eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit (Ephesians 4:1-3). Help us care for all, not showing favoritism.
May love compel us to strengthen the weak, bind up the injured, and serve patiently as we remember our service to others is service to You (Matthew 25:31–46). Help us model Your unfathomable love for us in our honoring of one another, and so prove to the watching world that Christ has risen and reigns.

PILLAR: Pillar 8. Make Godly Decisions (wisdom/knowledge/discernment/counselor/advisor) Pray that those who attend FMC would wholeheartedly live out and profess that God is the source of our strength, the substance of our work, and the object of our endeavors in all that we do.

PRACTICE: Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
