KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 14, 2022

FMC PRAYER: Lord, deepen my faith and joy in the glories of your gospel. You know the multitude of sins I have committed in my life – help me hate my sin more and grow in grace as I contemplate what Christ has done to forgive me and free me from sin’s death grip. Open the eyes of my heart to see the glorious hope I have in Christ, your love for all of the saints, and your power at work in us who believe (Ephesians 1:18-21). Cause my heart to burn within me as we celebrate the gospel in song, learn and apply the gospel through the preached Word, and see the gospel in baptism and communion.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 3:14-20 “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us…”

FMC TEAM VALUES: Value 3 – Stretch it out: We want our team to be agile and athletic, quickly and effectively responding to the unexpected and spontaneous. In fact, we want to move beyond being OK with change and eventually be able to leverage change as a tool that helps us accomplish our mission. Along with this speed and flexibility, it’s important for us to embrace candid feedback and evaluation so we can be even more effective the next time around.

OUTREACH: The Center: For God to continue to accomplish His purposes in and through this ministry in Midland. For the Center Board – that they would continue to humbly and prayerfully seek God’s face and His will and that they would align their own hearts/wills accordingly; that they would be united in their decisions and leadership.

PILLAR: Pillar 9: Serve Others (helper/service/healing) Pray that we, as members of Four Mile Church, would always be found in a humble state for a spontaneous response to an unanticipated need – may our actions never glorify us but instead reflect the character of Christ within us.

APPLICATION: Practice: Contact one person a day from the contact list on your phone and ask them how they are doing.
