KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF FEBRUARY 17, 2025
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift our worship and tech team to You this week. Thank You for their commitment to hone their gifts and talents as they magnify Your name each and every week. Please continue to appoint people to this position who understand the splendor of Your holiness and praise You out of that understanding. May it always be all about You, Lord, and Your glory alone, and please open our eyes to self-righteous attitude when it is not! As our voices unite in praise every Thursday night and Sunday morning, may we be encouraged, strengthened, and humbled to be a part of Your amazing Kingdom.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: The Work of the Holy Spirit ~ John 16:1-15
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the commandments of God are obeyed…Father, I come to You today, knowing that You are good and Your ways are perfect. You’ve given me Your commandments—not to weigh me down but to lead me to life, peace, and righteousness. I know Your heart for me is always for good and that You desire my obedience – not as a rule to follow, but as a way to grow closer to You.
God, I want to obey Your commands with my whole heart. I want to live in a way that honors You and reflects Your love to the world around me. Sometimes, it’s hard. Sometimes, I get distracted or let my desires get in the way. But I want to be faithful, God. I want to love You with all I am and show that love by living the way You’ve called me to.
Lord, I ask that You open my eyes to how I can love others in the same way that You have loved me. Help me to obey the command to love my neighbor as myself, not just in words but in action. May Your love overflow through me so that my life may reflect Your heart and Your kindness.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, equip us for our mission on this earth. Lord, we know that we are not saved by our good works, but FOR good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). Focus our hearts on the mission You have for us – to share the gospel and make disciples. Remind us how our marriages, family lives, work, and hobbies can be avenues to manifest the gospel’s heavenly work in our every day ordinary life. Use our time as your gathered body to build us up and send us out to minister to this broken world.
STUDENTS: Heavenly Father, may the Holy Spirit continually set a fire in the hearts of our students and adult leaders! Fill them with a sense of purpose and adventure. Guide, protect, sanctify, and unite them so that a whole new generation of youth may rise up in Jesus’ name…for Your glory alone.
SCRIPTURE: 1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
CARE: Father, thank You for the difficult people in my life. As I interact with them this week, please equip me with the knowledge and wisdom needed to respond accordingly. Give me strength to remain silent, knowledge on when to ask questions, how to relate to their situation, and when possible – to point them to Scripture.
I ask for a keen perception of my pride as well, Lord, so that when I interact with difficult people, You would humbly remind me to approach each encounter with meekness, seeing my sin as Jesus’ sacrifice – all for the sake of bringing glory to Your Name and Your Kingdom.
