KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 20, 2023
FMC PRAYER: Unity – Lord, we ask that you would fill us with Your Spirit and a longing for unity among believers all around the world. Help us set aside our differences as we look to the bigger picture – the saving, unifying, resurrection power of Jesus Christ.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:4-6 “There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call – one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
FMC TEAM VALUES: [read….this…sloooowly] Desired Endstate: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond… the Glory of God is honored, intimacy with Jesus is treasured, the Holy Spirit’s fruit ripens in believers’ lives, the holiness of God is revered, the goodness of God is relished, the truth of God is pursued, the faithfulness of God is trusted, the promises of God are believed, the grace of God is cherished, the wrath of God is feared, the commandments of God are obeyed, humility abounds, the lost are found, repentance and gratitude flow, praise and prayer erupt, lives and communities are transformed, love and joy fill hearts, freedom and forgiveness overwhelm, barriers are broken down, the hungry are fed, marriages are restored, families are reunited, and prodigals come home!
OUTREACH: A Healthy Fear of the Lord: Pray that a healthy fear of the LORD would be the foundation on which our lives and faith are built – personally and corporately; that we would continually seek to humble ourselves under His mighty hand; that we would know that He is our wisdom, our knowledge, our delight, and that there is no greater blessing than walking in His ways.
PILLAR: Pillar 10: Grateful Hearts (thankful/merciful/charitable/generous) Part of this pillar is acknowledging that our time, talents, and treasures don’t belong to us; all go back in the box at the end of the game. Pray that you/we would use our gifts accordingly.
APPLICATION: Practice: Practice right stewardship of the goods you have been given – showing charity to those in need and offering generous support of the Church and its ministries.
