KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 15, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Thank You Lord, for the spiritual gifts You have placed within FMC. “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” (1Corinthians 12:4-7) Teach us to use what we’ve received to serve others and faithfully administer Your loving grace through our thoughts and actions. Help us exercise our gifts in love and remind us to keep fanning into flame the gifts You’ve entrusted to us.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Number 13:25-33

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…marriages are restored…forgive us Lord for the prideful and disrespectful attitude we often portray in our marriages and restore our ideologies back to their purest form when vows were made. Teach us again to humbly love our spouse in the same way that Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. What a beautiful example of love and surrender. Your Word reminds us – “Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.” Colossians 3:18-19. And 1 Peter 4:8 – “Above all, keep loving one another EARNESTLY, since love covers a multitude of sins.” Love, forgiveness, grace, and mercy. What amazing gifts. Restore our marriages and bring Glory to Your Name alone!

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, equip us for our mission on this earth. We are not saved by our good works, but FOR good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). Focus our hearts on the mission You have for us – to share the gospel and make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ in the Tri-state region and beyond. Remind us how our marriages, family lives, work, and hobbies can be avenues to adorn the gospel through our proclamation and Christ-exalting lifestyles. Use our time as Your gathered body to build us up and send us out for ministry, in the power of Your Spirit, to this sin-filled broken world.

STUDENTS: PEACE – Lord, please give our students Your peace. We pray that You will lead them to take every single thing they are worried about to You in prayer, so that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in You. May they rest in Your goodness and the certainty of Your eternal promises.

SCRIPTURE: Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

CARE: Charles Spurgeon once said, “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”

Read that again…

“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (James 5:16), and “the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer” (1 Peter 3:12; Psalm 34:15).

Pray for those who do not yet know Christ or who are blatantly living in opposition to His character. This world attempts to capture us all in sin on a daily basis, how much more those who are living apart from Christ.

Pray that their eyes would be opened and that God would give us (YOU) the strength to act/say what He asks us to.
