KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 18, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Children’s Ministries – Father, we lift up our children’s ministry to You. Create an atmosphere here that encourages our children to know You. Fill the teachers with a childlike wonder as they expressively remind each child of the marvelous things You have done. May everything they learn about You become a core part of them forever. Open their eyes and ears to know Your voice as You lead and guide them each day. Gently nudge them in the direction of doing the next right thing, for Your Kingdom’s sake.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:17

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…love and joy fill hearts…Awesome and amazing God, You have given us power over sin and darkness and have equipped us to have everything we need through the power of Your Spirit! We are no longer slaves to this world because You have made us heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). If that isn’t enough reason to celebrate and be joyful, open our blind eyes! Jesus reminds us through His Word:

Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)

This passage emphasizes the importance of love among believers as the distinguishing mark of being a follower of Christ. In addition to love, other characteristics such as humility, forgiveness, compassion, and a commitment to living out the teachings of Jesus are seen as defining traits of Christians. Ultimately, the way people will recognize Christ is through the reflective and transformative power of His teachings in our lives – which is evident through our actions, attitudes, and relationships with others.

“To be full of joy and happiness is to realize that God is the source of our joy and that only in Him can we find true happiness.” – Pope Francis

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, lead me in building others up with the gifts and opportunities You have given me. Forgive me for having a “me first” mentality at church. Help me put others first and seek to use the spiritual gifts You have graciously entrusted to me to build up others. Guide me in my interactions so others are blessed and You are glorified. Show me who to talk to, where to sit, and how to encourage others with Scripture. Help me be a channel of encouragement as we see the Day drawing near.

STUDENTS: Peace: Lord, give our students Your peace. We pray that You will lead them to take every single thing they are worried about to You in prayer, so that Your peace, which passes all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in You. May they rest in Your goodness and the certainty of Your eternal promises.

SCRIPTURE: Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

CARE: Lord, guide me in acts of kindness, both big and small this week. Let me be a source of warmth and positivity to those I encounter daily. As I go about my day, direct me to find opportunities where I can make a difference in the lives of others for Your glory alone – be that through a smile, a helping hand, or a kind word. Open the eyes of the lost so that through these acts of kindness, Your unfathomable love and care might be deeply felt and lives be forever changed. Thank you for the opportunity to spread your love through simple acts of caring. In your name, I pray. Amen.
