KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 4, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Father, this week we lift up our student ministry team and the students who attend FMC. May our leaders constantly set an example in their speech, life, love, faith and purity. Help them to be alive and active in Your Word, and prayerful over-comers to any opposition that comes their way. Help our students develop spiritual discernment as they navigate their every day life and the relationships they will form this coming year. May Your Spirit move mightily Lord!

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 6:14

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…praise and prayer erupt…Father, we know that heaven is a place where You are surrounded by praise (Psalm 11:4). Yet Your ultimate dwelling place is WITH Your people!

“Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God” (Revelation 21:3)

You hear our words, You love our praise, You have made a way for us to be with You forever. How do we do anything but praise and thank You for those things!

“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9).

Thank you for inhabiting the praises of Your people and for always listening to the cry of our hearts.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, deepen my faith and joy in the glories of Your gospel. Father, You know the multitude of sins I have committed in my life and even this past week. Help me hate my sin more and grow in grace as I contemplate what Christ has done to forgive me and free me from sin’s death grip. Open the eyes of my heart to see the glorious hope we have in Christ, Your love for all of the saints, and Your power at work in us who believe (Ephesians 1:18-21). Cause my heart to burn within me as we celebrate the gospel in song, learn and apply the gospel through the preached Word, and see the gospel in baptism and communion.

STUDENTS: Health (physical) Lord, wherever our students interact with their peers, we pray that You would protect them from any illness and its effects. Father, our bodies are good gifts, wonderfully made, and we pray that You would guard their health, for their protection and the protection of those around them.

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 139:14
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

CARE: Lord, grant me the gift of empathy this week so that Your glory may shine through my understanding of those going through struggles. Show me how to be a comforting presence in their lives and offer a listening ear and a compassionate heart. As I strive to empathize with those in need, I pray that You would fill me with the ability to truly comprehend their pain and challenges. Thank You for the opportunity to care for others as You have cared for me.
