KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 19, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, this week we lift up the women of FMC. May Your Spirit deeply prompt the older women to patiently train and admonish the younger through encouragement, support, and provision. And may our younger women continually encourage the older to love, honor, and respect their husbands as they did in their youth. Teach all of our women, married or not, to be virtuous—women with gentle and quiet spirits who put their eternal hope in You. May these women truly know Your passion for them and choose to spend their present time on this earth, here – at Your feet.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Malachi 3:6-12
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the lost are found…Father, human beings are spiritually lost because we have freely wandered away from You and we do not know our way back. Isaiah 53:6 says, “We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the Lord has punished Him for the iniquity of us all.” Oh God – we are still like sheep! Utterly defenseless.
THANK YOU for the gift of Your Son! He came to find the lost and lead us to a place that we could never find on our own – back then as it is today – His sacrifice has covered us all!! May that Truth bring each and every one of us to our knees this week – in surrendered reverence and gratitude.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me worship You this day with an undistracted heart. You know how my mind wanders to my upcoming week…present worries and thoughts of other people and other things. Help me throw those worries aside and focus on You and Your glory alone. May Your Spirit cause my heart, soul, mind, and strength to exalt Your Holy Name in my words, my thoughts, and my interactions with others, today and every day here-after.
STUDENTS: FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – Lord, we pray that You will grant our students love for one another; joy in the midst of chaos; peace that surpasses all understanding; patience as they constantly deal with change; kindness to those around them; goodness – for You alone are good; gentleness as they remember Christ’s humanity and how He treated those around Him; and self-control as they put on the armor of God, each and every day.
SCRIPTURE: Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law.”
CARE: Charles Spurgeon once said, “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”
Read that again…
“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (James 5:16), and “the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer” (1 Peter 3:12; Psalm 34:15).
Pray for those who do not yet know Christ or who are blatantly living in opposition to His character. This world attempts to capture us all in sin on a daily basis, how much more those who are living apart from Christ. Pray that their eyes would be opened and that God would give us (YOU) the strength to act/say what He asks us to.
