KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 20, 2023
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up Your Church in Beaver County. Thank You for creating the body as one unit made up of many parts. Help us understand the value of each part as You have arranged them. We are indeed, one body, Lord. Help us to work at being one: concerned about one another—suffering with and rejoicing with, as One – for Your glory alone.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 5:22-30
FMC VALUE: Value 2 – Sharpen the Axe: Abraham Lincoln said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four hours sharpening the axe.” Achieving our vision is a massive undertaking, and to see it realized, we must become effective tools for God’s Kingdom. We must maintain our health and wellness spiritually, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and relationally. We must also constantly be learning and growing to increase our effectiveness over time.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, protect us from evil men and evil ideas. Since the beginning, the enemy of our souls seeks to destroy Your glorious purposes for the world and Your people. We pray for Your protection against all powers and principalities seeking to sow division, anger, envy, greed, and lust among Your people. Keep evil men with destructive intent and unsound doctrines far from us. Expose our culture’s ugly lies and the lies we want to believe by setting our hearts on Truth that leads to love, a good conscience, and sincere faith (1 Timothy 1:5).
STUDENTS: Lord, we pray that you will grant our students love for one another; joy in the midst of chaos; peace that surpasses all understanding; patience as they constantly deal with change; kindness to those around them; goodness for You alone are good; gentleness as they remember Christ’s humanity and how He treated those around Him; and self-control as they put on the armor of God every day.
SCRIPTURE: Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
