KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 30, 2023

FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up our priorities as a congregation. Give us ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying to our church. Open our eyes to see things as You see them. Help us move beyond issues of immediate need to pursuing Kingdom issues. Bring us to a place where “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” is more than just words we say.

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 5:28-30

FMC MISSION: Taking our next steps toward Christ, together! Pray that everything we do would be done to accomplish this! Pray for the faith to follow the Spirit’s lead, keeping in step with Him each day, personally and corporately.

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Father, deepen my faith and joy in the glories of your gospel. Lord, You know the multitude of sins I have committed in my life and even this past week. Help me hate my sin more and grow in grace as I contemplate what Christ has done to forgive me and free me from sin’s death grip. Open the eyes of my heart to see the glorious hope we have in Christ, Your love for all of the saints, and Your power at work in us who believe (Ephesians 1:18-21). Cause my heart to burn within me as we celebrate the gospel in song, learn and apply the gospel through the preached Word, and see the gospel’s transforming power in baptism and communion.

STUDENTS: Love of God’s Word. Father we pray now that our students would spend time getting to know You through Your Word. May they long for pure spiritual milk! Grant them a desire for the meat of Your Word so that they will grow into maturity. We ask that You give our students a longing to know You better through the reading of their Bibles, and we pray that they will bring their questions to us so we can grow together.

SCRIPTURE: 1 Peter 2:2 “Like newborn infants long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation”
