KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 27, 2022
Let this be a guide as your pray throughout the week – do not simply read through this and agree, but intentionally reflect on how these things can/will reveal Christ’s Kingdom more and more, here on earth.
LOCAL MISSIONS: For the love of and commitment to the communities in which God has placed us. For God to show us where and how He is at work, so that we might use the gifts and resources He’s given us to be agents of His Kingdom in meaningful, fruitful ways. That God would give us opportunities (and the courage to take advantage of them!) in our neighborhoods, schools, ball fields and workplaces to share the hope and love of Christ in word and deed.
SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 1:19-20: “and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,”
PRAYER: That the church would grow in being distinct from the world in love and holiness, especially as it engages outsiders.
VISION: Reach the Tri-State Region & Beyond for God’s Kingdom by making fully devoted followers of Jesus. Pray that everything we do would be done to accomplish this! Pray that we would be willing to lay aside anything that hinders us in accomplishing this vision. Pray for the faith to follow the Spirit’s lead, keeping in step with Him each day, personally and corporately.
VALUE: Value 2: Sharpen the axe
Abraham Lincoln said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four hours sharpening the axe.” Achieving our vision is a massive undertaking, and to see it realized, we must become effective tools for God’s Kingdom. We must maintain our health and wellness spiritually, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and relationally. We must also constantly be learning and growing to increase our effectiveness over time.
KEY WORDS: HEALTH, GROWTH, FITNESS
PILLAR: Pillar 12. Manage Well (planner/administrator/organizer) FMC ensures that all business is wired tight; it has integrity, is transparent, is auditable, is effective, and is efficient
SCRIPTURE: “When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, make every effort to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there. Diligently help Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way so that nothing is lacking for them. Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.” Titus 3:12-14
