KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF OCTOBER 14, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Father, this week we lift up the hearts and minds of our congregation and our desire to pray. May our prayers always be pleasing to You. Continue to open our eyes to see Your Kingdom when we pray. Use us to stand in the gap for others and bring us to our knees when we feel like we can handle things on our own. Let there be revival in our hearts so that our prayer life becomes more about You and less about US.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 23 ~ The Charge to Leaders
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the Glory of God is honored…Lord, remind us each day how important it is to keep our eyes focused on the One thing that matters – Your Glory Alone. May Your name be honored in our households as we put off everything that distracts us and draws our attention elsewhere. Thank You for the new mercies You give us each and every day, may we not waste the opportunities that You set before us.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, please guide me in using the gifts and opportunities You’ve given me to uplift others this week. Forgive me for any “me first” attitude I’ve had in my relationships. Help me prioritize others and use the spiritual gifts You’ve graciously entrusted to me for their benefit. Direct my interactions so that others are blessed and You are glorified. Show me who to reach out to, where to sit, and how to offer encouragement through Scripture. Let me be a source of encouragement as we approach the Day.
STUDENTS: Father, we pray that our students would experience your presence and friendship in a new and comforting way. We know that You promise to always be with us and we pray that our students would cling to Your nearness as well. We pray that they might know the sweetness of fellowship with You and rest in the assurance that You will never leave them or forsake them.
SCRIPTURE: Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
CARE: God Almighty – thank You for dwelling in our hearts and minds, acting through our fingers, toes, and voices. Please heal our brokenness and gently lead us back to You. Lord please bring warmth and peace to those who desperately need Your physical touch today. In Your Son’s blessed name – we ask all these things. Amen.
