KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF OCTOBER 6, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up our children’s ministry to You. Create an atmosphere here that encourages our children to know You. Fill the teachers with a childlike wonder as they expressively remind each child of the marvelous things You have done. May everything they learn about You become a core part of them forever. Open their eyes and ears to know Your voice as You lead and guide them each day. Gently nudge them in the direction of doing the next right thing, for Your Kingdom’s sake.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 14 ~ Caleb’s Inheritance
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…and prodigals come home! Lord – it’s incredibly hard to pray for anything but a comfortable, successful, and pain-free life for our children, friends, and family. But the greatest eternal good that we can pray for them is their salvation over their earthly happiness or comfort…which is why today – we pray for brokenness. Brokenness that leads to repentance and healing. Brokenness that leads Your children back to YOU – no matter the cost. Help them fight against temporary pleasures, self-gratification, and blurry lines — entrusting their lives completely to You, Lord — even if the path of salvation comes through pain.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, help me to treasure Your bride as You do. Father, help us to see the centrality of Your church in this broken world. From men and women who were Your enemies, You are assembling a community of born-again worshipers from every tribe, tongue, and nation to proclaim Your matchless wisdom to the world and spiritual realm. All of history will culminate in your Son’s wedding to his beautiful bride. Lord, help us treasure Your bride as You do and pour ourselves out to build her up.
STUDENTS: Lord, give our students Your peace. We pray that You will lead them to take every single thing they are worried about to You in prayer, so that Your peace, which passes all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in You. May they rest in Your goodness and the certainty of Your eternal promises.
SCRIPTURE: John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
CARE: Lord, please bless our OWLS (outstanding wise lovable seniors) in their every day ordinary lives – with companionship, health, happiness, and JOY in their golden years. We are all in different stages of life – and this week, may we marvel and appreciate the beauty of Your plan in uniting us all under the sacrifice and love of Your Son. May Your OWLS always feel valued and cherished for the wisdom they carry. As we think of them, we ask that You grant them the strength to continue their journey with dignity, grace, and patience. Thank You for our OWLS Lord – may Your glory shine in their lives each and every day until they are called home – to Your glorious name be all the praise.
