KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 23
, 2024

FMC PRAYER: Father, this week we lift up our student ministry team and the students who attend FMC. May our leaders constantly set an example in their speech, life, love, faith and purity. Help them to be alive and active in Your Word, and prayerful over-comers to any opposition that comes their way. Help our students develop spiritual discernment as they navigate their every day life and the relationships they will form this coming year. May Your Spirit move mightily Lord!

SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 10:16-43 ~ Five Kings + Southern Canaan

FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…marriages are restored…forgive us Lord for the prideful and disrespectful attitude we often portray in our marriages and restore our hearts back to their purest form when we made our vows before You. Teach us to humbly love our spouse in the same way as Christ loves the church and gave Himself up for her. What a beautiful example of love and surrender. Your Word reminds us – “Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.” Colossians 3:18-19. And 1 Peter 4:8 – “Above all, keep loving one another EARNESTLY, since love covers a multitude of sins.” Love, forgiveness, grace, and mercy. What amazing gifts. Restore our marriages and bring Glory to Your Name alone!

INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, reveal to me the wonders of your Word. Father, as you spoke the world into existence, please continue to speak new life into Your children. Give us knowledge as we look to the glory of Your Son on display. Give us grace to receive Your Word and rejoice in it. And convict us of our sin so that we might hate it as much as You do! May the weak be strengthened, the strong be humbled, and the Church be continually built up!

STUDENTS: Father, help our students to grow in their faith and trust in You. Help them to understand what it means to walk by faith and not by sight – especially considering all of the crazy things that are going on around them. We know that they will grow in faith by hearing Your Word, and so we pray for continual opportunities to share Your Word with them.

SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight” and Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

CARE: Lord, guide my heart to respond with acts of genuine kindness this week. Let me be a source of warmth and positivity to those I encounter. As I go about my day, direct me to find opportunities where I can make a difference in the lives of others for Your glory alone – be that through a smile, a helping hand, or a kind word. Open the eyes of the lost so that through these acts of kindness, Your unfathomable love and care might be deeply felt and lives be forever changed. Thank You for the opportunity to spread Your love through simple acts of caring. In Your name, I pray. Amen.
