KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE
WEEK OF JULY 15, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, this week we lift up Your servant, our pastor, David Lyle, to You in prayer. Thank You for his servant’s heart. Encourage him and keep him from losing heart when ministry gets tough. Help him prove faithful with the things You have entrusted to him. Teach him Your ways so that he knows You and finds favor with You as He leads us. Keep him open and honest before You and help him to represent the Truth plainly through his words and actions.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 3 ~ Israel Crosses the Jordan
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the commandments of God are obeyed…
Lord, we are able to love for one reason – because You first loved us and put that love on display through Your One and Only Son – when He chose obedience to You over self gratification. He gave us these words regarding the greatest commandment in the law,
“You shall love the Lord your God with ALL YOUR HEART and with ALL YOUR SOUL and with ALL YOUR MIND. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.” – Jesus (Matthew 22:36-38)
May those words and example be forever burned on our hearts and minds when we want to choose self over Your commands.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, reveal to me the wonders of Your Word. Father, as You spoke the world into existence, please continue to speak new life into Your children. Give us knowledge as we look to the glory of Your Son on display. Give us grace to receive Your Word and rejoice in it. And convict us of our sin so that we might hate it as much as You do! May the weak be strengthened, the strong be humbled, and the Church be continually built up!
STUDENTS: FAITH + TRUST – Father, help our students to grow in their faith and trust of You. Help them to understand what it means to walk by faith, not by sight – especially amidst all the crazy things that are going on around them. We know that they will grow in faith by hearing Your Word, and so we pray for countless opportunities for them to share Your Word with others.
SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight…
Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
CARE: Lord, please bless our OWLS (outstanding wise lovable seniors) in their every day ordinary lives – with companionship, health, happiness, and JOY in their golden years. We are all in different stages of life – and this week, may we marvel and appreciate the beauty of Your plan in uniting us all under the sacrifice and love of Your Son. May Your OWLS always feel valued and cherished for the wisdom they carry. As we think of them, we ask that You grant them the strength to continue their journey with dignity, grace, and patience. Thank You for our OWLS Lord – may Your glory shine in their lives each and every day until they are called home – to Your glorious name be all the praise.
