KINGDOM PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 24, 2024
FMC PRAYER: Lord, we lift up Your Church in Beaver County and beyond. Thank You for creating the body as one unit made up of many parts. Help us understand the value of each part as You have arranged them. We are indeed, one body, Lord. Help us to work at being one: concerned about one another—suffering with and rejoicing with, as One – for Your glory alone.
SUNDAY’S SCRIPTURE: Joshua 2 ~ Rahab
FMC ENDSTATE: Throughout the Tri-State Region & Beyond…the promises of God are believed… God promises salvation to all who believe in His Son (Romans 1:16–17); He promises that all things will work out for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28); He promises to comfort us in our trials (2 Corinthians 1:3–4); and He promises that we would have a new life in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
God, You have given us so much through Your Son and Your promises only continue to encourage us as we walk out our faith, day after day. As we focus on making disciples this week, may Your promises be revealed, acknowledged, encouraged, and believed. Open the eyes of those who need to hear and see Your goodness and faithfulness, so that they too will feel the comfort and peace that comes from believing and trusting in Your promises.
INVISIBLE CHURCH: Lord, equip us for our mission on this earth. Lord, we know that we are not saved BY our good works, but FOR good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). Focus our hearts on the mission You have for us – to share the gospel and make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ in the Tri-state region and beyond. Remind us how our marriages, family lives, work, and hobbies can be avenues to adorn the gospel through our proclamation and Christ-exalting lifestyles. Use our time as Your gathered body to build us up and send us out for ministry, in the power of Your Spirit, to this sin-filled broken world.
OUTREACH: Father – make us bold this week! We don’t want to live dead and meaningless lives, instead, we want to be ALIVE in Christ. What amazing opportunities You give us each day – to reach the Tri-state region and beyond for Your Kingdom’s sake. Open our eyes to see those opportunities clearly and may our hands and feet be readily equipped to do what You have called us to do! We know what love is and are able to love others because You first loved us and put that love on display for us in Christ.
CARE: Father, thank You for the difficult people in my life. As I interact with them this week, please equip me to love like Jesus loved when He dealt with difficult people here on earth. He used rebuke when necessary (John 8:47), remained silent (John 8:6), asked questions (Mark 11:28–29), pointed them to Scripture (Mark 10:2–3), and related to their situations with a story (Luke 7:40–42).
Please give me a keen perception of my own pride as I exercise my faith in accordance with Your will. Paul says in Romans 12:3: “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you”. So, when I interact with difficult people this week Lord, gently remind me to approach each encounter with humility and meekness.
