In July of 1812, deep in the wilderness of western Pennsylvania, a handful of faithful pioneers launched a strategic outpost for God. The text for the first official sermon was taken from 1 Corinthians 1:23: “[w]e preach Christ crucified….”
God had drawn together a band of faithful followers who came to be known as Four Mile Church. A light was set in the darkness.
Today we continue in that faithful tradition. In 1993 Martin Williams, his wife, Laurie, and their three children came to Four Mile to continue growing a church driven by the conviction that people matter to God—even if they don’t know it yet.
Four Mile is passionate about presenting the message of Christ in inspiring ways. We creatively make the timeless truths of God relevant to the lives of all people—people who live life at hyper-speed, who think church is boring, or who wonder if there may be a better way to live. You can expect great music and messages you can take with you while learning what it means to live life fully with God among a growing number of enthusiastic people.
No matter your circumstances, age, or family status—no matter where you have been or what you have done—you matter to God and we are here to help you discover just how true that is.
